Choir Biography
The Montreal Hua Xia Philharmonic Art Troupe is composed of chorus and literary enthusiasts from different industries and academics, and has a wide range of singing, including excellent Chinese folk songs, modern creation songs and world-famous chorus songs.
The Montreal Hua Xia Philharmonic Art Troupe has been invited to participate in performances of various scales in Montreal and surrounding cities, regions and neighboring countries, and has been made contributions to the promotion of rich cultural life for communities.
The current chorus art director and chief conductor of The Montreal Hua Xia Philharmonic Art Troupe is Madam. Shu Qin; the second conductor is Madam Shasa; the current piano accompaniment is Mr. Guo Xinyu (Terry Guo) and the current head of the Montreal Huaxia Art Troupe is Mr. Xie Su.

Conductor - Shu Qin:
Drama Soprano. Bachelor of Music Education from Jiangxi Normal University and Master of Music Therapy at Concordia University. She was awarded the Jiangxi Province Young Teachers Vocal Competition Award and the Jiangxi Young Singer Competition Award. She has sang many times at important evenings of provincial and municipal TV stations. After immigrating to Montreal, she participated in the Spring Festival Gala of the Place des Arts and the performances of local western cultural groups. In October 2018, she held a personal concert at the Vinchent D'indy Conservatory of Music, which was a complete success.
She is good at performing classic Chinese and foreign classics, with rich sounds, wide range of voices, singing and feelings, and full of tension.
During her stay in China, she led the chorus team to participate in provincial competitions and won the first prize. After immigration, she trained for four years in the unaccompanied four-parts choir "Montreal City Voices" and participated as a key player in the 2014 International Acappella Competition held in Portland, USA. She was the chorus conductor of the Montreal Chinese Alliance Church, training adult and children chorus. Since November 2018, she has served as the chorus conductor and art director of the Montreal Hua Xia Philharmonic Art Troupe.
