Children’s Choir of Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, also known as the Children demonstration choir affiliated to China International Chorus Festival
The Children’s Choir of Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center (the children demonstration choir affiliated to China International Chorus Festival) is a professional and international choir which is built by Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center and China International Chorus Festival. We are committed to providing children with a platform to grow up in the environment of art, cultivate self-confidence, and present themselves. Through the systematic vocal curriculum plan and comprehensive arts expression courses, choirs will have the opportunity to enjoy or participate in the exquisite art performances and various international exchange activities organized by China International Chorus Festival and Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, to improve children's physical and mental health development, artistic aesthetics and cultural taste.
Based on China International Chorus Festival, the only state-level international choral festival with global influence in China, the choir has been striving to become the first demonstration children’s choir of China International Chorus Festival with high threshold and strict maintenance. Bringing in international cutting-edge pedagogy, the choir recruits experts from foreign countries to be artistic director and artistic consultant, such as former President of International Federation for Choral Music, Dr. Michael J. Anderson, executive director of the American Choral Directors Association, Tim Sharp, and President of Popov Choral Arts Academy of Russia, Petrov Alexei. Meanwhile, we invite XU Dechang - national outstanding teacher, special-class teacher in Beijing, the conductor of Children's Chorus of National Center for the Performing Arts and Beijing No.171 Middle School Golden Sail Choir, the leader of Beijing Golden Sail Art Troupe Advisory Committee, to serve as the artistic director from the Chinese side, and provide the choir with overall professional instructions.
