China Chengdu High Sing Chorus
Chengdu High Sing Chorus: Founded in 1946, it was established to commemorate the Famous Chinese musician Xie Xinghai and was the earliest choir in China. High Sing was approved by the Chengdu Cultural Bureau, then officially registered at the Civil Affairs Bureau as the Chengdu Cultural Center professional choir. High Sing has won the “National Excellent Choir” of China, "The National Excellent Head of Choir", the first place of gold medals in the first "Golden Lotus" International Choir Festival at the 10th anniversary of Macao's returning, “Top 10 Chorus of 2015 New Year Chorus Concert", Silver Award Winner of the 13th China International Chorus Festival, the first place of “Xinghai Cup Chorus Competition” Bronze Medals of Guangzhou Panyu Xinghai International Choir Festival for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Xie Xinghai and many other awards. The chorus has also performed many times for "Domingo Solo Concert", "The Yellow River Concerto" and sing for other large-scale performances. High Sing Chorus has joined the recording for The CCTV 18-episode documentary series "Happy Music of Chinese People" which was broadcasted on the Chinese Embassy in many countries.
Conductor Dr. Yang Guang
Dr. Yang Guang, composer and conductor, graduated from the National Academy of Music in Cologne, Germany. He was awarded with the highest honor for artist in Germany by completing his Ph.D.
Dr. Yang has directed and participated in many operas, orchestral works, musicals, chorus, etc. As a conductor, Dr. Yang has performed with the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra, the German North Rhine-Westphalia Symphony Orchestra, the Rhine Opera Symphony Orchestra, the Cologne Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, the Aachen University of Germany Symphony Orchestra, the Music Factory Chamber Orchestra, etc. As a composer, his works have been performed and awarded in many countries including China, Germany, France, Poland and Italy. In 2015, he was invited as a guest artist of the German National Media Art Center.
Dr. Yang is currently teaching at the Department of Electronic Music of the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. He also serves as the Director of General of Music Art Design in MUGU as well as the conductor of Chengdu High Sing Chorus.
